NEW POLL SHOWS OVERWHELMING SUPPORT FOR COOP DISCLOSURE

Support for disclosure is powerful across every variable examined:


BOROUGH,  RACE, AGE, INCOME, UNION STATUS, IDEOLOGY, HOUSING STATUS (RENT OR OWN), GENDER,  AND PARTY AFFILIATION.


The Slingshot Strategies City Poll that was in the field from May 2nd to May 8th included 1,500 registered NYC voters. The margin of error for the total results is +/- 2.5 percent.


Coop disclosure is supported by a margin of more than 4 to 1.   


  • Citywide, 68 percent support, with only 15 percent opposed.


  • Residents of every borough support disclosure by a wide margin.
  • Every racial group supports disclosure by a wide margin.
  • Every age group supports disclosure by a wide margin.
  • Residents at every income level support disclosure by a wide margin.
  • There is a wide margin of support for disclosure regardless of union status.
  • New Yorkers of every ideology support disclosure by a wide margin.
  • Both renters and owners support disclosure by a wide margin.
  • Both women and men support disclosure by a wide margin.
  • New Yorkers support disclosure by a wide margin regardless of party affiliation.
